What straight wig styles and lengths are here
The hair in this collection is smooth and straight, with no wave or curl set into the fiber. That covers a wide spread of cuts. There are cropped styles that lay close to the head, pixies with wispy bangs and softly feathered layers, and short cuts fringed close at the nape. There are bobs, some one-length and sleek, some angled forward toward the face. There are shoulder grazing styles with ends turned gently under. There are long lengths that fall well below the shoulders with lightly textured ends for movement. Some styles have bangs shaped in already. Others open at the front with long face framing pieces you can sweep to the side. Smooth toppers sit in this collection too, for fullness on top while your own hair shows around the sides and back.
Machine teased caps, lace fronts, monofilament tops and hand tied styles all appear here. You can pick easy volume at the crown, a natural looking hairline, a part that moves, or hair that moves strand by strand.
Straight styles run short through long, and they come in our petite, average and large caps.
How to know a straight wig will stay smooth
You cannot flat iron a wig. Heat from a flat iron, a curling iron or a blow dryer melts high quality synthetic fiber and it comes back looking like frizz. So the smoothness you see in the photo is the smoothness you are buying, and that is worth deciding on before you order rather than after.
It works in your favor as well. Wash in cold water, hang the wig upside down until it is completely dry, and the straight style comes back without your doing a thing to it. Wash at 6 p.m. and it will be dry by morning.
Length is the part women most often misjudge. Straight styles here run from 1.5 to 17.5 inches at the nape. Find the style you like on our Wig Dimensions page and hold that number against your own back before you choose.
If it arrives looking flat, hold it upside down by the tag and give it a few shakes, or comb it gently from the front hairline to the back.
If what you want is movement and body, a smooth style will not give it to you, and brushing will not put it there.
