About Red Wigs
What red wig colors look like, from copper to auburn
Red covers a lot of distance here. Maple Sugar is a light reddish brown with subtle gold blond highlights. Copper Glaze is a dark copper blended evenly with a golden copper. Chestnut is mahogany blended with cinnamon. Irish Spice is a cherry red with light copper through it, and Razberry Ice is a dark auburn with brighter auburn highlights and golden blond on the crown.
The styles run short through long. You will find pixie shapes, bobs, medium cuts layered near the shoulder, and long styles with movement through the ends. Bangs are common, and wave and curl appear alongside the straight styles.
Our red styles come in machine teased caps, which give you fullness at the crown with very little styling. Lace fronts and monofilament tops are here too, for a natural looking hairline and a part you can move. Red comes in our petite, average and large caps.
How to pick a red wig shade without guessing
Reds a shade apart look identical on a screen and nothing alike in your own mirror. Maple Sugar is a light reddish brown with subtle gold blond highlights. Copper Glaze is a dark copper blended with golden copper. Irish Spice is a cherry red blended with light copper. Those are three different decisions, not three photos of the same red.
If you are torn between two of them, order the swatch. It is $4, it arrives in your hands, and it answers in your own bathroom light what no photograph can answer. The full color ring is $45 and holds every shade at once, which is the better buy if you expect to own more than one wig.
The Wig Color Guide gives each red a written description, so you can narrow it to two before you spend anything.
If what you want is red that still reads as your own hair, you may not need a true red at all. A brown with a copper blend gives you red where the light catches it and reads as brown the rest of the time.
