What short wig styles are in this collection?

Every style here is cut short, sitting close through the sides and off the neck at the back. You get pixie shapes with feathered layers and gentle lift through the crown. You get tapered cuts with long side-swept bangs that reach past the cheekbone, so the front stays soft even where the length is cropped. Sleek shapes that lay close to the head are here too, along with softly curled styles and cuts that flip out at the sides. Wispy bangs, side-swept bangs and lightly fringed necklines all appear. Machine teased runs through this collection, with the crown teased so the height is already in the wig. A lace front on some of these puts sheer lace at the forehead, so the hairline reads as your own. A monofilament top on others lays flat at the crown and gives the look of scalp where you part it. Hand tied styles are here as well, with each hair tied to the cap so it moves on its own. Some are cut at a lighter density for a softer look with less fullness. These come in our petite, average and large caps, in rooted and non-rooted colors.

How to tell if a short wig will feel too short

How short is short? On our short wigs the nape measures 1.5 to 3.5 inches, and the hair ends above your collar on every one of them. The bangs run 2.5 to 6 inches, which is the difference between a cropped fringe and a sweep you can tuck behind your ear.

Take a tape measure to the back of your neck and mark 2 inches down from your hairline. That is a short wig on you. Each style carries its own bangs, crown and nape figures on the Wig Dimensions guide, and those measurements are estimated within a quarter inch either way. These are also the lightest wigs we carry, 1.5 to 2.5 ounces.

If you are looking at short because your own hair feels like too much work, you may not need to go short at all. A high-quality synthetic holds its style through a wash and comes back to it as it air dries, whatever the length. Choose short because you want to see your neck, not because you think it is less trouble.
