What do our long wigs look like?

Every style here falls at the shoulders or below. Some are cut smooth and close to one length, with the front left long so it sweeps back off the face. Others carry layers that start around the cheekbone and feather out through the ends. Soft waves run through some of these, and some break into curls through the mid-lengths and ends. Full bangs, wispy bangs and long side-swept bangs all appear, and other styles are cut with no bangs at the front. The machine teased crown gives you body at the roots under all that length. Some have a lace front, which gives you a natural looking hairline you can wear off your face. Some pair that lace front with a full monofilament top, so the part can sit anywhere on the crown. Some are cut at a lighter density, which keeps the length from reading heavy. You can get long styles here in our petite, average and large caps, in straight and wavy textures, and in rooted and non-rooted colors.

How to pick the right length in a long wig

At the nape our long wigs run from 7.5 inches to 17.5 inches, a ten inch spread inside one word. The photograph will not tell you which end of that you are looking at, because a wig is shot on a model whose shoulders are not yours.

Check the nape figure on the Wig Dimensions guide before you order, then think about the longest your own hair has been in the last ten years. That number is a better guide than the photograph. Weight is worth a look too. Our long wigs run 3 to 6.5 ounces, against 1.5 to 2.5 ounces for a short style, and that is hair you comb before every wash.

If you have not worn hair below your shoulders in years, you may not want to start at 16 inches. Our shortest long styles measure 7.5 to 9 inches at the nape, which is long without being all the way long, and you can go longer next time. Bangs and length can also be customized if a style comes up longer than you pictured.
