What shapes and lengths do large cap wigs come in?

Every wig on this page comes in our large cap, which gives you more room than our average.

You will find a pixie with wispy bangs and softly feathered layers, and a short tapered cut with side-swept bangs and textured volume. Bobs fall just below the chin and just above the shoulder, with lightly fringed ends and front pieces that curve inward. Medium cuts come with full bangs, feathered sides and lift at the crown. Shoulder-length waves flip gently at the ends. Long styles fall straight and full past the shoulders with face-framing bangs, and long layers blend into soft curls on the styles with no bangs.

Machine teased caps and monofilament tops with a lace front both come in this size. The teased crown gives you fullness with no styling, and the lace front lets you wear the hair off your face. Low density cuts run through the short and medium styles here, for a natural looking shape without heavy fullness.

How to know when you need a large cap wig?

Does your wig press at your temples by mid afternoon? Do you find a line across your forehead when you take it off, or feel the front edge creeping back through the day? Those are the symptoms of a cap that has run out of room, and more styling will not fix any of them.

Our large caps fit heads around 23 inches in circumference. Measure before you order rather than sizing up on a hunch. A cap with more room than you need will move on you, and that is the opposite problem in the same afternoon. The Wig Sizes guide shows you where the tape goes.

Try one thing first. Every one of our caps has elastic or Velcro tabs at the back, and moving them lets the cap out by about an inch. If your average wig is comfortable in the morning and tight by dinner, that inch may be all you were missing, and you do not need a large at all.
