About Wig Starter & Care Kits
What is in a wig starter kit or a wig care kit
Each kit in this collection bundles products we also sell one at a time, put together so you are not working out bottle by bottle what a first wig needs. The Wig Starter Kit is the one to open with a new wig. The Wash Kit covers washing and conditioning, and the Wash and Style Kit adds the styling products to it. The Travel Kit is the one that goes with you. The Hair Cutting Kit gathers the tools for trimming and thinning. The Keep It Together Tote carries any of it. Everything inside them is for high quality synthetic fiber, which is the part that trips people up when they buy care products at a drugstore instead.
Which wig starter kit do you actually need
The hard part of a first wig is not choosing the wig. It is not knowing what owning one asks of you. You either buy nothing and find out on a Sunday night that you have no shampoo, or you buy everything and use half of it.
The routine is shorter than it sounds. You wash and condition once for every 10 to 15 wears, using products meant for high quality synthetic hair. You need somewhere to hang the wig while it air dries. You need a brush or a comb, and which one depends on whether your style is smooth or curly.
Our kits gather those pieces for you. The Wash Kit covers washing and drying. The Wash and Style Kit adds the styling products. The Travel Kit fits in a suitcase, and the Hair Cutting Kit is for trimming your own bangs. Our Caring for Your Wig guide walks through the routine the kits follow.
If you already own the shampoo, the conditioner and something to dry a wig on, you do not need a kit. Buy the one thing you are missing.
