About Headbands for Wigs
What headbands can you wear with a wig or topper?
Every headband here is made to go over a wig, over a topper, or over your own hair. Our SqHair headbands are hinged at the sides, so they open and close like a pair of sunglasses instead of holding by pressure the way a solid band does. Small teeth along the inside keep the hair where you put it. They sit slightly rounded across the top rather than curving all the way around, they feel close to weightless, and they do not knock against your glasses. You can have them plain, metallic or printed, with or without crystals set along the band. Our stretch headband is the soft one. You pull it over the front of a wig or a topper, and it adds color while holding the front edge steady. Choose a color close to your hair if you want it to disappear, or a color nothing like it if you want it seen.
How to wear a headband with a wig
A headband over a wig is the easy part. What stops you is not knowing whether it will drag the front edge back and put your hairline somewhere it does not belong.
Get the wig straight first. Bring the front down to your eyebrows, pull it over, then slide the front back until your own hairline is just barely visible. Check that the two tabs at your temples sit even. That is how you know it is on straight.
Now set the band behind that front edge rather than on top of it. The edge stays covered and the band does the job you wanted, which is keeping the hair off your face.
Ours come plain, in print and in metallic, with or without crystals, and they work the same way on your own hair.
One honest thing. A headband is not what holds a wig on. If yours shifts through the day, that is a security question, and How to Secure a Wig is where it gets answered.
